When you delete an email message, a contact, a calendar item, or a task, it's moved to the Deleted Items folder. If everything is deleted from the deleted folder, the next place to look is the Recoverable Items folder. That is the only way to recover your deleted messages. If you can't see the deleted messages you want to recover, they have probably been permanently removed from the Deleted Items folder or Junk Email folder.

Launch Outlook 2010 and from left sidebar, under Outlook Data File, click Deleted Items.Now navigate to Folder tab. In Clean Up group you will see Recover Deleted Items button is grayed-out. To enable this option you need to properly configure Exchange server 2007/10 on your system.
